Change Management
Change is important for an organization like The Empire because, without change, The Empire would likely lose our competitive edge and fail to meet our goals. Change also allows The Empire to allow employees to learn new
skills, explore new opportunities and exercise their creativity in ways
that ultimately benefit The Empire through new ideas and increased
commitment.

Why I am leaving the Empire, by Darth Vader
TODAY is my last day at the Empire.
'I no longer have the pride, or the belief'
After almost 12 years, first as a summer intern, then in the Death Star and now in London, I believe I have worked here long enough to understand the trajectory of its culture, its people and its massive, genocidal space machines. And I can honestly say that the environment now is as toxic and destructive as I have ever seen it.

Ask for/or Take Advice
It is essential to learn from those who came before you. To look at the template that they created and use that as a foundation to build your mark upon.
It is also equally important for you to be able to turn around and be able to offer your advice to others around you.
Effective leadership is also the process of growing. Yes, leadership includes traits and behaviors, but effective leaders are always educating themselves in new ways of doing things and adjusting their style, behavior, and their leadership capacity by learning from others. The rare leader makes it to the top without having a mentor along the way. Being open to feedback—listening—is one of the most important attributes of becoming a significant leader.

Sharpen Your Senses, Sharpen Your Edge

Perceptive leaders notice what others miss. To enhance your powers of observation, start simply. Notice people when you greet them. Take a second or two to look at them before you speak. Soak up what you see in a neutral, but curious, frame of mind. Without careful observation, we tend to see in others what we expect to see. There's a big difference between hearing and listening: Hearing is passive, while listening requires energy and attentiveness. The same applies to looking and seeing. Banish preconceived notions that limit your ability to process what you see.
